چکیده
An assessment of climate impacts in the hydrologic system Blue Nile basin is useful for enhancing water management planning and basin-wide policymaking. Climate change adaptation activities predominantly require an understanding range on resource. In this study, we assessed River using 30-year situ data (1981–2010) five bias-corrected General Circulation Models (GCMs) future (2026–2045) projections RCP8.5. Both historical GCM precipitation show inter-annual spatial variability, with most significant increases rainy season a decrease dry season. The results suggest probability increase total precipitation. intensity frequency extreme rainfall events will also increase. Moreover, hydrological model simulation likely river flow, peak discharges, flood inundation, evapotranspiration that lead to higher risk floods droughts future. These operation storage systems (e.g., Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam) should be optimized Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) irrigation addition their intended purposes basin.

Pakistan’s economy is significantly reliant on agriculture. However, Pakistan is included in the most water-stressed countries in the world, and its water resources are considerably vulnerable to climate variability and climate change. Therefore, in the present study, the water resources of the Jhelum River basin, which provides water to 6 million hectares of land of Pakistan and hydropower pro...

Water resources planning under climate change: Assessing the robustness of real options for the Blue Nile
This article presents a methodology for planning new water resources infrastructure investments and operating strategies in a world of climate change uncertainty. It combines a real options (e.g., options to defer, expand, contract, abandon, switch use, or otherwise alter a capital investment) approach with principles drawn from robust decision-making (RDM). RDM comprises a class of methods tha...
متن کاملPotential Impacts of Climate Change on Water Resources in the Kunhar River Basin, Pakistan
Pakistan is one of the most highly water-stressed countries in the world and its water resources are greatly vulnerable to changing climatic conditions. The present study investigates the possible impacts of climate change on the water resources of the Kunhar River basin, Pakistan, under A2 and B2 scenarios of HadCM3, a global climate model. After successful development of the hydrological mode...
